SWITZERLAND – ‘PASSPORT TO EUROPE’ GETAWAY
Legendary for its political neutrality; Switzerland is a small country tucked away in the Alps bordered by France, Italy, Austria and Germany. It has a spectacularly scenic landscape of mountains, lakes and lush farmland. The Alps occupy the central and southern parts of the country and the Jura Mountains border France in the north-east, whilst the central region consists of a plateau with rolling hills and vast lakes. Switzerland is famed for amongst other things its delectable chocolate, characteristic cheese, cuckoo clocks and the Swiss army knife. Switzerland is a country which certainly belies its size in terms of variety, charms and class.
